Geek Out with Us!

The Temple Railroad and Heritage Museum will host their annual Geek Out! Family Day on February 3rd from 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. This free event celebrates all the wacky, wonderful things we love! Whether you’re into history, comic books, mad science, engineering, princesses, space aliens, or wizards, Geek Out! Day is the place to be. Make it extra fun by coming in costume and enjoy a variety of “geeky” activities.

The museum will present an epic photo booth area, training activities for space warriors, and plenty of craft activities for creative minds. Young inventors will be able to flex their brain muscles with the Central Texas Makers Club and the Belton High robotics team. Popular “geek” culture will be on display with activities from Temple Public Library, Bell County Comic Con, the CTC Geek Fest, the Beltonian Theater, and Epic Works Games and Collectibles. In addition to the museum’s popular Lego fun area, Legos for Littles will be on hand to show off their creations.

“We’re excited to be offering family days again, and Geek Out day is one of our favorites,” said Museum Director, Stephanie Long. “It’s great to see kids exploring the topics they love and finding new interests along the way.”

The Temple Railroad and Heritage Museum hosts a Free Family Day event on the first Saturday of each month. Attendance to the event is free. Regular admission charges apply to view the rest of the museum.
