Santa Claus and his elves invite all the good girls and boys to the Temple Railroad and Heritage Museum on Saturday, December 1st at 10:00 a.m. to welcome him to Temple, as he arrives by train from the North Pole.

Upon arrival, Santa will be available to hear the Christmas wishes of all the children who would like to meet him. Each child that visits with Santa will receive a small gift, courtesy of BNSF Railway.

While waiting to see Santa Claus, guests will enjoy music from The Schade Tree Band, and the barbershop harmony of the Texas Country Gentlemen. Holiday themed activities will also be taking place in the Depot’s Grand Lobby – craft your own gingerbread house, transform yourself into Santa’s helper with a homemade hat, and write a letter to Santa to make sure he doesn’t forget what you want!

“We look forward to hosting Santa at the Depot again this year,” said Museum Curator, Angela McCleaf. “The event has become a local holiday tradition that helps get children and adults in the spirit of the season.”

Santa at the Depot is a free event held from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. The museum exhibits will be closed during this time and reopened at 2:00 p.m. The museum is located in the Santa Fe Depot at 315 West Avenue B in downtown Temple.
